It's a morbidly refreshing feeling when you come to accept and understand that it is imperative to remove destructive forces in your life for good.

For me a large part of the destructive influence in my life has been people, specifically a couple of persons. These people are inherently unwell mentally and it is futile to try and understand their way of thinking.

The kind of people that genuinely get off by making others feel stupid or embarrassed of themselves, ashamed of their personality and actions. Passive aggressives. Spoilt angry children that have completely misunderstood the foundations and purpose of relationships. Selfish domestically abusive individuals that refuse to recognise their own problems and seek help.

These people love nothing more than to punish and harm the people closest to them. I realise now the worst mistake to make with these people is to think that next time it will be different. Hoping that the next interaction will go smoothly and you'll come away not feeling bullied or manipulated.

IT WILL ALWAYS BE THE SAME

Never forget this, you cannot change them - they are sick and enjoy being sick. This is what makes having a relationship with these people so emotionally draining and scaring. the delight in not only your unhappiness but theirs as well. It's an attention/power complex. They know how you work and your fears and your hopes so it's incredibly easy for them to corner you into a position of submission whereby they can bully you and make you feel like a bad person.

YOU ARE NOT A BAD PERSON

You may have done things that you feel guitly for and regret BUT you HAVE to forgive yourself and accept it can't be undone.As long as you've been remorseful there is no need for those actions to rule your future . Those bad actions do not make you a bad person. These people are not better than you or more valuable as a person. You do not owe them anything. You may have wronged them and they have wronged you, it does not entitle them to a life time of punishing you nor you punishing them.

NEVER TRY AND EXPLAIN TO THEM WHY THEIR BEHAVIOUR IS WRONG

They already know and if they don't they won't ever care. They enjoy their behaviour and your suffering, by talking to them you invite more abuse. The less contact with them the more they will appeal for your friendship. Do not believe this to be a lasting change in their behaviour, as soon as they understand that they have your attention they will attempt to recreate a domestic relationship in which they can emotionally harm you again.

STOP TELLING THEM ABOUT YOUR LIFE

This only acts as a tool for them to learn how to upset you and make you feel unworthy of the life you are slowly feeling stable enough for.

THEY MAY NOT ACT THIS WAY TO OTHER PEOPLE

This does not mean they aren't doing it to you. They might be as nice as pie to everybody else however not everybody else shared the same level of emotional involvement as you. These people are domestic abusers.

DOMESTIC ABUSE IT NOT JUST VIOLENCE

The people i'm describing could be your friend, sibling, partner, parent. As hard as it may be these people can only cause you pain and hold you back in life

Through a heavy hand of social conditioning the female sex has been persuaded that the adjective 'skinny' is something to be admired.

There's this idea that having slender bodies will somehow communicate a sense of fragility or femininity which should be upheld by women.

By seeming physically vulnerable they are somehow more attractive. Why can't women understand that their personalities are the best medium through which to create these 'idealistic' female qualities if they so desire.

SKINNY = unhealthy, it suggests 'too' much. Excess is never healthy?! why aren't people getting this.

I was taking a few pictures of me with a nose ring (fake) because i'm seriously considering getting it done despite the fact everyone that sees it says i don't suit it ... fuck em.

On a different note i was putting this picture from my phone into an old computer file and came across a load of photos from what is now a distant past and it was really kind of great to see them because it reminded me of a very happy time in my life and some great memories buuuuut as always with these kind of things it made me a little sad and i yearned for a past that no doubt i've romanticized a little in my head and conveniently left out the sour spots.

It also made me think of some pictures that somebody else has/had of me that no doubt are deleted now but ....it's just so weird to think their is evidence of us all over the place that we forget about or choose to ignore and those captured moments are immortalising your life on someone's computer somewhere .....

Came across these works the online contemporary art gallery the Country Club.

These really appeal to me as i admire the marriage of the two materials for that kind of structural chaos that makes such rewarding shape and seemingly unconstructed symmetry and sequence.

In particular these two use these amazing masses of white that break up the piece and surround the colour kinda like expanding foam ahahaah (i'm well cleva with my similes) but it's that inner minimalist pussy in me that likes to play it safe and use bright washing

SOOOOOOOOOOOO it's not often i see myself from behind but i was having a butchers at the pictures from magpies shoot and .................... what the bloody hell is my body!?!

why did no one care to tell me i look like an emaciated chicken from the back?!

I know i have my hands on my hips but fuck me that's gross!

just... like.. what the hell - that's honestly made me feel pretty unwell, i look a bone bag and if i'm correct in thinking that's not the biggest turn on for anyone (except deluded 13 year old girls who wank over eating disorder-riddled runway girls)

this has been eye opening and slightly disturbing :)

I've liked Otis Redding for a long time since my dad used to play him to me but it's not until recently i've realised just how incredible his music was and is.

Some of the greatest love songs are sung by him and it's a style of music I enjoy more than anything.

It's really encouraged me to get myself a record player because music like this was meant to be heard on vinyl

(this is one of my favourite songs and i listen to it over and over at night - so soulful)

It's not the most fun in the world not being able to talk to someone you used to talk to a lot.... sort of really sucks to realise regardless of moving on or past being the past sometimes you can't reclaim the kind of friendship something began with.
